Refund Overview

We want you to be completely satisfied with ExpensesTracker Pro. This policy explains your rights regarding cancellations and refunds. Our payment processing is handled by Paddle, our merchant of record.

Your Right to Cancel: You have 14 days from the date of purchase to cancel your subscription and receive a full refundโ€”no questions asked.

Your 14-Day Right to Cancel

As a consumer, you have the right to cancel your subscription within 14 days from the day after your purchase without giving any reason. To meet the cancellation deadline, you must send your cancellation request before the 14-day period expires.

What Happens When You Cancel

  • Full reimbursement: We will reimburse all payments received from you
  • Fast processing: Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving your cancellation request
  • Same payment method: Refunds are credited to your original payment method at no extra cost

Digital Content Exception

Important: Your right to cancel does not apply once you have started to download, stream, or otherwise acquire and use the digital content or Pro features included in your subscription.

By using ExpensesTracker Pro features after purchase, you acknowledge that you have started accessing the digital content and may no longer be eligible for the automatic 14-day cancellation right.

How to Request a Refund

Option 1: Through Paddle (Recommended)

Since Paddle is our merchant of record, the fastest way to request a refund or cancellation is through Paddle directly:

  • Paddle Support: Contact Paddle
  • Provide your purchase email and order details
  • State that you wish to cancel and request a refund

Paddle will acknowledge your cancellation request without delay and process your refund within 14 days.

Option 2: Through App Store / Google Play

If you purchased through an app store, you may also request refunds through them:

For iOS (App Store)

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone/iPad
  2. Tap your name at the top โ†’ Subscriptions
  3. Select ExpensesTracker Pro
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription
  5. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund

For Android (Google Play)

  1. Open the Google Play Store app
  2. Tap your profile icon โ†’ Payments & subscriptions
  3. Tap Subscriptions โ†’ ExpensesTracker Pro
  4. Tap Cancel subscription
  5. For refund: Go to play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory

Option 3: Contact Us Directly

You can also email us directly and we will forward your request to Paddle:

  • Email: support@expensestracker.app
  • Subject: Refund Request - [Your Email]
  • Include: Your purchase email and order ID (if available)

Processing Time

Platform Processing Time
Paddle (Direct) Up to 14 days
App Store (Apple) 3-5 business days
Google Play 1-3 business days

Refunds are credited to your original payment method. Bank processing may add 1-3 additional days.

Cancellation Instructions

Canceling your subscription stops future charges but lets you use Pro until the end of your current billing period.

Important: Deleting the app does NOT cancel your subscription. You must cancel through your device settings or contact Paddle to stop future charges.

Cancel on iPhone/iPad

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap your Apple ID (your name at the top)
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Select ExpensesTracker Pro
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

Cancel on Android

  1. Open the Google Play Store
  2. Tap your profile icon
  3. Tap Payments & subscriptions โ†’ Subscriptions
  4. Select ExpensesTracker Pro
  5. Tap Cancel subscription

Data After Cancellation/Refund

When your Pro subscription ends (whether canceled or refunded):

  • Your data is safe: All expense records remain on your device
  • Cloud sync stops: Data won't sync across devices anymore
  • Pro features locked: AI insights, SMS tracking, etc. become unavailable
  • Data retention: Cloud data is retained for 30 days in case you resubscribe
  • Export available: You can always export your data (limited exports on Free plan)

Additional Information

Faulty or Misdescribed Products

This refund policy does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer in relation to products which are not as described, faulty, or not fit for purpose. In such cases, you may be entitled to a refund regardless of the above terms.

Subscription Renewals

The 14-day right to cancel applies to your initial subscription purchase. Automatic renewals are not covered by the 14-day cancellation right, but you can cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future renewals.
